The strategy adopted for our clean up depends on the scope of work as provided by the client in line with DPR EGASPIN standard and the environment of the spill. The steps below summarize the activities involved in our clean up;
The 1st step in our clean up field activity is to divide the site into zones (hot, warm and cold). This is to manage the movement of personnel in and out of the site and also prevent secondary or cross-contamination of the adjoining environment. The impacted areas will be equally demarcated to ensure that all areas are duly cleaned up. We also set up mobile toilets and canopies for workers’ convenience.

Impacted vegetation within the area will be carefully cleared off using handheld equipment (cutlass, rakes and spade). The impacted vegetations will be bagged in bags for evacuation to an approved waste management contractor for incineration.
Polluted soil within the area will be carefully scraped off using handheld equipment (Shovel and Trowels). The Contaminated soils will be confined in leakproof Jumbo bags and containers for evacuation to an approved waste management contractor for incineration.
Recovered oil is stored in
Scrapped impacted soil and oily debris are confined in leakproof jumbo bags and properly labelled. A waste tracking system is initiated and the waste is transported to the approved treatment plant, where they are weighed and treated.
